I really didn't change too much this week because I had a large project I was working on simultaneously. The notes my teacher gave me were mostly about the weight and hips, but I'm still struggling with it.

RPP3 - Sculpt of Failure
So I took the hiRes model into ZBrush to add more details because I was an overachiever. The vest and buttons and patches and stitches turned out alright in my opinion and the hair is cool even though he has a receding hairline.
HOWEVER -
Putting the hair in Maya is where the issues arose. Even after deleting the inside faces and probably a thousand unneeded edges on the mesh, the hair was still like 10k tris. Just the hair. Also, when I put the sculpt into Substance to be textured, the models refused to bake. So I wasted about 15 hours worth of work :(

RPP3 - Character Concept
For this round, I was solely responsible for the two main characters in our game, Now Playable Character. Here are the original concepts:
The playable character and typical fantasy shopkeeper.
The stereotypical hero.

Animation Week 6 - Irish Dance Leap Sequence
Since I miss dancing 10 hours every week, I decided to do a short Irish dance looping sequence. I found a nice model/rig online (https://www.meryproject.com/download). The front view needs a lot of love still....Super excited to keep polishing this up even after bootcamp. I need to work on the weight and making her jump launches more believable.
For anyone interested, the hopping steps she is doing are called switches and the large leap is called a freeze jump (aka birdie).
Below is the reference I used (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O60DLAEYEnU)
I also included a capture of my graph editor as of now because I think they are super cool looking and I like scaring my non-artist friends with how complicated they look.

3D Art Week 6 - Cannon Textures using Substance Painter
Cannon after being textured in Substance Painter. If I had more time, I would have done some more specific details, but overall I'm happy with it.
Some close-ups of the details.
Base color texture map exported.
Normals texture map exported.
OCT Texture Map Exported.
ORM Map exported.
Screenshots of the cannon imported into a game project in UE4.
I scaled up the cannon a little bit as well. Mannequin for reference.

Common Art Week 6 - Lighting
This week we took a pic of an object utilizing a 3 point lighting scheme. I chose Spanish festival Barbie and used a red screen on a laptop and two lamps; one orange and one teal.
